No Cell Phones while driving
Although cell phones are a great convenience to our society now a day, they add unnecessary risk when people use them while driving. To begin with, they are a great physical distraction. Opening the phone and holding the phone takes a driver’s hands from the wheel and their control of steering, and during busy hours of the day it is incredibly important for people to be able to react to situations quickly. Also, cell phones give a person the opportunity to text while driving, a practice that takes both a person’s hands and eyes off the road. All this combination results in is slower reaction time to incidents on the road, and a plethora of accidents, usually involving two or more cars. Perhaps the most important point towards making use of a cell phone while driving illegal is because of the mental aspects. Not only can people become too caught up in the conversations they have to pay much attention to what other drivers on the road are doing, but emotions can be swiftly introduced to the mix, impairing judgment. Unpleasant news is only a phone call away and an upset driver will have a much harder time driving while distracted by his emotion than he would normally be. The distraction cell phones introduce while driving, both emotional and physical, are dangerous for everyone on the road, and it should be made illegal to use them while driving.

I definatelty agree with the fact that texting should be illegal while driving because either is no way in which a person could both look at their phone to text while simaltaneously watching the road but in terms of the use fo cell phones I think they should be allowed. Cell phones can really come in handy when one is lost, in danger, or merely needs assistance or advice in terms of their driving or the situation they are in. When one is completely banned from being able to commmunicate from those who are not in the vehicle one can really find themselves in danger. If a driver gets lost or is being chased or is in some form of danger there is no way for them to get help unless they are able to some how communicate to the outside world and cell phones allow you to do so.
