NASA Funding

Space may be the final frontier, but what are we honestly looking for put there. NASA,is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and is the only government agency in the couintry dedicated to the research of space. A major question nowadays is how much should this agency be funded? NASA's budget grew from 15.861 billion dollars in 2007 to 17.31817 billion dollars in 2008. Although this may seem like a lot of money, it is only 0.6 of federal spending. I beleive that this percentage is reasonable for the study of space. I beleive that it would be smart to slightly increase the budget of the agency if it would also focus on more domestic technolologies as in technoloogies that apply to earth. In the past many domestic technologies have been discovered through NASA's studies of space. I beleive that this will continue if we continue to fund NASA, but we should also increase their budget if they open up to directly looking for new technologies that apply ta earth, because earth is more important than space at this moment in time, but the study of space should cnatinue.
