Music Downloading

Downloading music is very accesible these days. I say this because who really wants to buy music off of Itunes when you can get it for free on the internet or lime wire. Every one these days have thousands of music on either their Ipod or their computer. Most people get this music off of the internet because it is free. Who wants to buy a cd for $20.00 when you can easily get all these songs for FREE online. Also there might even be a song on the cd that you hate and dont like to listen to. If you buy the cd you are stuck with it, if you donwload the music you can exclude that one song that you would not listen to. On Itunes one song is $1.07 with tax, no one really wants to pay for anything if you have an option to get it for free. Music downloading in my opion makes the artist more known than itunes can. I believe this because the concept of making free downloads music reaches people in a more lesser amount of time thus it boots its popularity.

I personally think that music downloading is a rip off towards the artist. When people download a song off itunes or any other music downloading site the artist gets no credit. I believe that people should still buy the CD and support the artist work. There are many illegal music downloading sites that people use on a day to day basis. I think that music downloading should stop and that artists should continue getting credit for their work.

Sure artist get paid plenty, even with all the kids downloading free music these days, but wouldn't you want to get paid to your full extent for your work. Downloading free music is like paying a construction worker per nail he used but not for his labor. If you enjoy and respect the artist enough you will want to pay for the song to thank them for their creation.

the only problem with this is that it takes money away from the artist. I agree that its better to get some thing for free. but the artists make music for a living and for the money that you use to buy there cd.

In no way should downloading music be legalized. Not only does it take away money from the artist it is an insult to them. You are essentaily stealing from the artists themselves. Sure they may get paided alot but thats still hard earned monay that they deserve. A CD doesn't cost that much plus now days you can usually listen to it at the store before you buy it. Now if you share a cd with a friend thats great but stealing music off the internet is illegal and i feel that it should be prosecuted. If i truely enjoy an artist music i have no problem buyinfg there cd but i do have a problem with stealing there hard work. DONT DOWNLOAD ILLEGALY

Legalizing free music downloades is unacceptable due to the fact that the artist will not get properly paid. Although free music downloading is easy and well...FREE it is not fair. After all the hard work that a musician puts into making one song, they should be rewarded with money. Their work should not just be handed out to the public. A better solution is to find websites that you pay a down fee for a month and then get to download as much as you want. These sites do pay the artist but if you download enough music you will not end up in debt.
