dont be a d!ck
the assumtion that drugs are bad for you is a highly fallacious assertion. Anyone who has watched Super High Me knows that pot dosnt affect your ability to retain information. In fact bud releases Dopamin and Seratonin into your brain in larger quantities than is found in people who do not smoke pot. Dopamin is responsible for learning and memory, so why would pot make you have memory loss and trouble learning if you have larger amounts of the chemicals that make you better able to learn and retain information. Pot should be leagal, Acid should be legal, ecstacy should be legal, mushrooms should be legal, and lastly black tar heroin, but methamphetamine is bad, along with GHB, cocaine, crack, opium, and PCP. Acid and mushrooms, as well as peyote are good for you. Pyscadelics take you on a spiritual journey into the inner most regions of your being, opening your eyes and your brain to who you are and why you exist, without these drugs humans would be lost in the quest to find who they are. You cant have fun ever without Ecstacy. E is a party drug, its also good for you, it makes you want to drink an adequate amount of water. statistics show that 80% of americans dont drink enough water everyday. Black tar heroin is self explanatory, you should know why it should be legal, but for those of you who are d!icks i will enlighten you. Black Tar Heroin dealers make a sh!t load of money, they spend that money on Plasma screens and other unneccassary things, all the while they have money in the bank to pay for it, which in turn boosts the economy. Right now though, we are spending lots of money to fight against drugs, which is payed for by the government which is driving this country into the ground. anywhay heroin users are to f^cked up to cause anyone any harm. All the drugs i said should be illegal are extremly dangereous, a small amount can cause an overdose, and its better for the economy to bust dealers that deal those drugs than to let them go, which is not the case with heroin. You should have a similar viewpoint, so please dont be a d!ck.
zoos are good mannnn.
Keeping animals accommodated in zoos is highly beneficial to the environment. By displaying semi rare and other animals in large cities everywhere, zoos are eliminating the need for people to travel vast distances to see the animals that interest them. Eliminating the need to travel, zoos are also cutting down on the amount of carbon omissions that are being pumped into the atmosphere. Another way that zoos assists the environment is to help near-extinct animals make a comeback, thus balancing out the food chain once again. A good example is when the condors were highly threatened of going extinct. All of the zoos which contained condors banded together and started breeding more and more of them until they reached a stable number in the wild.
Sex Offender Privacy
When thinking about whether or not personal information regarding sex offenders such as their name, address and other aspects of their life it seems obvious that this information should be released. They sexually assaulted someone against the victim's will and therefore, those that live near them or those who may be considering hiring them for a potential job should be aware of this fact. Sexual assault is something that is highly and often disregarded and many turn a blind eye, however, it is a very serious issue and should not be taken lightly, in Colorado alone there are 6802 publicly registered sex offenders. As my mother is the director of a resource center for those who have been sexual assaulted or are victims of domestic violence, I know more than I wish to in terms of how often sexual assault really does occur, even in the tiny town of Telluride. Therefore, it is an issue that strikes really hard in me and through my mom's work I have met many victims and heard their stories and the brutality they have endured. There are very many concerns in terms of privacy and how greatly the offender's life will forever be implicated because of the mistake they made but really it is a huge and disturbing one that they should be punished for. Someone does not unknowingly sexually abuse or assault someone, offenders know what they are doing and choose to do it anyway and people deserve to know who these people are and the fact that they have committed such acts of violence.
No Cell Phones while driving
Although cell phones are a great convenience to our society now a day, they add unnecessary risk when people use them while driving. To begin with, they are a great physical distraction. Opening the phone and holding the phone takes a driver’s hands from the wheel and their control of steering, and during busy hours of the day it is incredibly important for people to be able to react to situations quickly. Also, cell phones give a person the opportunity to text while driving, a practice that takes both a person’s hands and eyes off the road. All this combination results in is slower reaction time to incidents on the road, and a plethora of accidents, usually involving two or more cars. Perhaps the most important point towards making use of a cell phone while driving illegal is because of the mental aspects. Not only can people become too caught up in the conversations they have to pay much attention to what other drivers on the road are doing, but emotions can be swiftly introduced to the mix, impairing judgment. Unpleasant news is only a phone call away and an upset driver will have a much harder time driving while distracted by his emotion than he would normally be. The distraction cell phones introduce while driving, both emotional and physical, are dangerous for everyone on the road, and it should be made illegal to use them while driving.
Drug Testing Students
Students should not be drug tested. They should only be tested if there is good reason such as juvenile diversion. But other than that, there is no logical reason to do it. If you were to take a random student and drug test him without reason, it's not very fair to him. Without proof of a student actually using drugs, drug tests should not happen. I know I wouldn't want someone taking me out of class randomly and make me pee in a cup. I would freak out and probably scream at them then leave. So yeah, drug tests should only happen with good reason and proof.
Oil and Car Companies
Well I'm pretty sure that everyone knows what I'm going to argue for this, but I will do it anyways. Oil and car companies need incentive to take initiative on climate change. For some reason the fact that no one will survive the coming crisis escapes oil executives. According to many scientists, the deadline for acting on climate change is next year, 2010. We have no time to waste. A grassroots movement, a grassroots revolution is necessary in my eyes. But change comes from the bottom up and the top down. Regulation should be passed immediately to combat this problem. Slimy (pun intended) oil execs must be made aware of their impact on our future, and must be forced to compensate for it. Since we have established that the American Masses are too apathetic and hopped up on consumerism to mobilize themselves, the enlightened members of society must work their hardest to make the change we need. WAKE UP! What these people, Fox News, CNN, Dick Cheney, CEOs, what they are telling you we need to fix the economy, to make you feel happier, to provide for your family, IS FALSE. Break free from your standstill. We have to make the rich people who are stealing your money and your future pay. I'm not a very vengeful person, but much of the blame must fall on their shoulders.
That's all beside the point though. The point is that if we want tour "great civilization" to survive, if we want to live our entire lives in it, then we must protect it. I don't believe it will survive. I believe we will fall much harder than anyone expects, and much of what we have worked for will be destroyed and we will return to a previous way of life. But if we do not act with the urgency, then humans will not survive at all.
Some rich assholes just need some government intervention to jump start their moral redemption.

Illegal Music Downloading
Hmmm...how do I feel about this subject? Personally, no I don't do it, so I guess I'm against it. It is unfair to the artists and businesses such as iTunes, and if everyone did it (if it wasn't illegal) the artists and producers and composers and whatever wouldn't have a job. It would be like an underappreciation for them. How would they be able to do what they want if they didn't get any money for it? Sadly that's the case with a lot of aspirations people have, but this one has been going on forever! Just think about it though, if there was no income option for the people who make music happen, there would definitely be not as many bands = not as much music = horrible. I don't know about you all, but music is a HUGE part of my life (and I actually I know for a fact, that it is for you too) and I'm not sure how the world would react if it was taken away from us (I mean on like the scale it is in our society today...). I don't really care that other people do it though; it's your choice. So I think, the situation it's in today is good...there's some people that do it, and some people that don't...just enough to keep it going I guess. And I do admit, I do get a bunch of music from the library (haha I guess that is illegal music downloading...whoops, I guess I do do it sometimes...), but I mean I guess the library has to buy the CD so.......haha, alright, I'm not trying to cure my guilt (I really don't feel bad about it actually [library i mean]) but woa! off subject, i apologize. Basic opinion = i'm not really for the whole illegal music downloading scene (from the internet), but I think the state that it's in right now is fine. (but who knows about the future....) alright, hit me why u love illegal music downloading and why is should be legal....
